OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
 
1.  How to Enter the Contest:

a.  CNN 650 will giveaway prizes upon announcement from 5 AM CST – 7  PM CST.

b.   To participate in the contest, contestants must listen to CNN 650 during the contest period for the cue to call.  When the cue to call is announced, contestants must call 713-390-5458.   CNN 650 is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call. 

2.  Eligibility Restrictions:

a.   The contest is open to all CNN 650 listeners who are 18 years of age or older and legally reside in the greater Houston metropolitan area.  Employees of CNN 650, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Houston metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.

b.   Listeners are eligible to win a CNN 650 prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months. 

c.  Winners will be required to sign a liability and publicity release and show a valid government- issued photo identification card to claim prize. 

3.   Prizes:

a. Prizes will be announced on air and range in value from approximately $15 - $300.  

b. All prizes are subject to availability.  All applicable federal, state, local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. 

c.   All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of CNN 650, 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046 between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM CST Monday – Friday.  The offices are closed for major holidays.  Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty  (30) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. CNN 650 is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

d.    There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, solely at its discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash due to prize unavailability or where required by law.  The prizes are expressly limited to the items above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expense.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. Selection of Winners:

a.   Decisions of CNN 650 management with respect to the contest are final.

b.   The winner will be determined by being the correct caller at 713-390-5458. 

5.  Conditions:

a.   Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b.  By participating in the contest, winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

c.   Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, CNN 650 in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold CNN 650, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d.   CNN 650 reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of CNN 650, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, cancelled, or has a change of venue, CNN 650 reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, solely at the discretion of CNN 650. 

f.       CNN 650 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize. 

g.   Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of CNN 650, 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to CNN 650.
