We had the owners of Jenni’s Noodle House on the show today. Husband and wife team – Scott & Jenni Tran-Weaver. They just opened their second location – on Post Oak Boulevard, next to Maggiano’s, between Westheimer and San Felipe. They were so funny and cute. And they brought some food samples with them - shrimp spring rolls with ginger soy sauce and Buddha soba noodles with veggies and peanut sauce. Really delish!
We all enjoyed the food after the show – Scott, Jenni, me, producers Terry and David. I even twittered producer Ben over at 610 Sports telling him that we had food and invited him to come over after his show. (He’s just across the hall from the CNN650 studio.) He did come over but then said that he doesn’t eat that kind of food – he’s just a meat & potatoes kind of guy. Ben! You don’t know what you’re missing!!
Our ‘Words of the Day’ were all about food items on Jenni’s menu and we gave away several gift cards from Jenni’s Noodle House to callers. I love giving away prizes on the show. We are very fortunate to have lots of prizes to give out each week.
I’ve been Twittering and Facebooking during the show recently and we had A LOT of these come in while Scott & Jenni were on the air. They have many fans. You can Twitter and Facebook us during the show too and I’ll try to read it on the air.
We are all getting really excited about taking the show out of the studio next Saturday, May 16th. We’re going to be at the new Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Town & Country Village! The event is from 11:30 to 2 pm and includes a 3 course lunch, live radio show, a short wine seminar and prizes! When I was describing the filet mignon that will be on our menu for lunch at Fleming’s, everyone in the studio started laughing at me and I don’t know why! I’ll have to listen to the tape from the show to see if I can figure that out! I hope to see you at Fleming’s on May 16th. It’s going to be really fun.
